Biography

Mathieu Bacou is an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) at Télécom SudParis (TSP) since September 2020.
He joined the PDS group of TSP's computer science department, who work on design and performance of parallel and distributed systems.
He is also a member of the Benagil team of Inria, who investigate distributed systems with a stronger focus on their core components (virtualization layers, storage and communication.

Mathieu defended his PhD "Performance and Resource Management in Multi-virtualized Cloud" and earned his Ph.D. degree from Toulouse INP (University of Toulouse, France) in May 2020.
He has worked on virtualized systems for the cloud (virtual machines and containers) since 2016.

His research is focused on cloud computing and all its system software layers, with an interest for Serverless technology and Function-as-a-Service. He authored papers in major international conferences such as EuroSys, IPDPS and ICPP.
